How to request account deletion and what happens to your data.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request account deletion, send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your Fire Ghost account.
You can also delete your account directly in the app, under Settings → Delete Account. If you use this email path instead, we verify your identity by using and replying to the same email address you send the deletion request from — this is a manual process handled by our team.
What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted
Your Account Record
Your account record — including your email address, password, name, and biological sex information — is deleted.
Food and Drink Logs
All your food and drink log entries are deleted.
Active Sessions
All your active sessions are logged out.
Community Posts and Comments
Your community posts and comments remain visible to other users, but are no longer attributed to you. They will be displayed under an anonymous or generic placeholder instead of your handle.
Database Backups
Backup copies of our database taken before your deletion request are not immediately deleted. We target a 90-day backup retention window; contact [email protected] if you'd like current confirmation of our backup deletion practices.
